Basketball Recap: Veterans Gets the Win

It's playoff time, and Veterans had no trouble coming through when it counted. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Alexander Cougars on Saturday, sneaking past 50-48. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Warhawks.

Despite the defeat, Alexander saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Nimah Ibidunni dropped a double-double with 18 points and 14 rebounds. Ibidunni's afternoon made it five games in a row in which she has scored at least 17 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Isabella Italiano, who posted 12 points and six boards.

Veterans' victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 20-9. As for Alexander, their loss dropped their record down to an identical 20-9.
