Baseball Recap: Genesee Find Success

It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Genesee ultimately got the result they hoped for on Tuesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Troy Trojans, sneaking past 10-8. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 5-4 back in March.

Matthew Ketcheson was incredible, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with three stolen bases and two runs. He has become a key player for Genesee: the team is 2-1 when he posts at least two runs, but 5-9 otherwise. Noah Bollman was another key player, going 2-for-5 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.

Genesee's win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 7-10. As for Troy, they have been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last nine games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-10 record this season.

As of now, neither Genesee nor Troy have any future games scheduled.
