Gatesville never let their opponents score on Thursday. They were the clear victors by a 14-0 margin over the La Vega Pirates. The result was nothing new for the Hornets, who have now won 14 matches by six runs or more so far this season.

The win made it two in a row for Gatesville and bumps their season record up to 20-11-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 0 runs in those games. As for La Vega, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost ten of their last 12 games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-14 record this season.
