Baseball Recap: Mission San Jose Has No Trouble Against Bethel

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Mission San Jose). They put the hurt on the Bethel Jaguars with a sharp 12-1 victory on Monday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Warriors.

Mission San Jose got a great performance from Anmol Prabhakar as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out seven over five innings pitched. The dominant performance also gave Prabhakar a new career-low in earned runs (zero).

At the plate, Maxwell Bashkin was a standout: he scored a run and stole Two bases. while going 3-for-3. Aadit Kolli also deserves some recognition as he got his first hits of the season.

Mission San Jose was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .441. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.

Mission San Jose's record now sits at 2-3. As for Bethel, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-4.

Coming up, Mission San Jose will face off against Concord at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Bethel, they will take on Mare Island Tech Academy at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. Bethel has given up an average of 9.2 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week.
