Basketball Recap: Yuma Comes Up Short

Yuma lost against Paradise Honors back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Criminals took a blow against the Panthers, falling 75-41.

When it comes to explaining why Yuma lost, don't look at Elmer Emerson. Despite the final result, he posted 16 points. The matchup was Emerson's sixth in a row with at least 16 points. Another player making a difference was Marquis Dickson, who put up nine points.

Yuma now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Paradise Honors, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Yuma wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 61-52 victory against San Luis on the 4th. As for Paradise Honors, they will look to defend their home court on Monday against Peoria at 7:00 p.m. Paradise Honors will need to watch out since Peoria has now posted at least 55 points in their last four games.
