Softball Recap: Laguna Acoma Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

Laguna Acoma was forced to take a big loss against they on Thursday, they got the better of them on Thursday. They walked away with a 15-10 win over the Hozho Academy Wolves. This was a revenge game for the Hawks: when they faced off against the Wolves on Thursday, they had to take a 13-4 defeat.

Laguna Acoma got a massive performance out of Ciandra Lucero, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Those four hits gave Lucero a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Madelyn Brown, who went 2-for-4 with one home run, five RBI, and two runs.

Laguna Acoma was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .595. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .310 or higher in 13 consecutive contests.

The victory snapped Laguna Acoma's losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 10-6 record. As for Hozho Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 13-3.
