Soccer Recap: Poly Takes a Loss

Poly entered their contest against Chavez on Wednesday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Parrots fell just short of the Eagles by a score of 2-1. While losing is never fun, Poly can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 312th, while Chavez are ranked 109th).

Poly's goal came courtesy of Ernest Walker, who's now up to 12 this season.

Poly's loss dropped their record down to 9-3-1. As for Chavez, the victory (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 14-2-1.

Poly wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next match, a 1-0 win against North Hollywood on the 23rd. As for Chavez, they also didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next matchup, a 4-1 victory against Grant on the 23rd.
