Football Preview: Mt. Pleasant Tigers vs. Lewis County Panthers        
        
		
             The Mt. Pleasant Tigers will square off against the Lewis County Panthers at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. Mt. Pleasant will be coming into the  match with an undefeated record on the line.
 On Friday, Mt. Pleasant needed a bit of extra time to put away Summertown. They snuck past the Eagles with  a  19-13 win.
 Meanwhile, Lewis County lost to Loretto at home  by a   61-44 margin on Friday. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game  two weeks ago (32), the Panthers still had to take the loss.
 Lewis County's defense was in the mix too, especially the secondary: they snagged two passes before it was all said and done. The picks came courtesy of  Kobe Feichtinger and  Bentley Kelsey. Kelsey also set a new season high mark in  receiving yards with 84.
 Even though they lost, Lewis County was unstoppable on the ground and  finished the game with 202  rushing yards. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved they're  rushing yard total in three consecutive  contests.
 Mt. Pleasant's victory bumped their record up to 5-0. As for Lewis County, they now  have a losing record at 2-3.
 Mt. Pleasant took a serious blow against Lewis County  in their previous meeting  back in September of 2023, falling  43-14. That  game was all but decided by halftime, at which point Mt. Pleasant was down  22-0.
