Baseball Recap: Skyview Takes Down Ranked Vallivue

Skyview faced Vallivue in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Monday. The Hawks came out on top against the Falcons by a score of 6-2. The victory was nothing new for the Hawks as they're now sitting on four straight.

Skyview got a great performance from Jacoby Navarro as he didn't allow a single earned run over five innings pitched. Navarro has been consistent: he hasn't given up a single earned run in six consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Ledger Downs, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with three runs and one stolen base. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played. Brodie Fleshman was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one triple, two RBI, and one run.

Skyview's win bumped their record up to 15-5-1. As for Vallivue, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 21-3.

As of now, neither Skyview nor the Falcons have any future games scheduled.
