Baseball Game Preview: Steele Comets vs. Brecksville-Broadview Heights Bees

The Steele Comets will take on the Brecksville-Broadview Heights Bees at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Steele comes in on five and Brecksville-Broadview Heights on eight.

Steele is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Thursday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand Stow-Munroe Falls a 7-0 shutout. The result was nothing new for the Comets, who have now won 12 contests by seven runs or more so far this season.

Landon Wolf was excellent, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Cole Marquez, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI.

Meanwhile, Brecksville-Broadview Heights was able to grind out a solid win over Twinsburg on Thursday, taking the game 7-4.

Steele's victory bumped their record up to 17-3. As for Brecksville-Broadview Heights, their win bumped their record up to 16-6.

Steele skirted past Brecksville-Broadview Heights 5-4 when the teams last played back in May of 2022. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Comets since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
