             The Great Plains Lutheran Panthers will head out to  challenge the DeSmet Bulldogs  at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. Great Plains Lutheran is coming into the  contest on  a  three-game losing streak.
 Great Plains Lutheran will head into Friday's  match ready to turn things around: they couldn't quite beat Britton-Hecla last Friday, but the two-point margin was a huge improvement compared to the 53-point  loss they were dealt  back in September. Great Plains Lutheran fell just short of Britton-Hecla by a score of  22-20. While the Panthers didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Braves  0-0 in the first  quarter.
 Great Plains Lutheran's  defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of  Brody Scharlemann, who threw for 153 yards and two touchdowns on only nine passes, and  Lucas Johnson, who picked up 102 receiving yards and two touchdowns. Scharlemann also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D,  making 15 total tackles (3.5 for loss) and defending a pass.
 Meanwhile, Friday just wasn't the day for DeSmet's offense. They were  outmatched by Hamlin at home  and fell  64-0. While losing is never fun, the Bulldogs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage  in MaxPreps' South Dakota football rankings  (they are ranked 25th, while the Chargers are ranked third).
 Great Plains Lutheran's loss dropped their record down to 3-3. As for DeSmet, they have  been struggling recently as they've  lost three of their last four games,  which put a noticeable dent in their 2-4 record  this season.
