Softball Recap: Butte Takes a Loss

Butte fell victim to Glacier and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They took a 5-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Wolfpack. The Bulldogs have struggled against the Wolfpack recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive lost meeting.

Butte saw eight different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ashlinn Mullaney, who went 1-for-4 with one double.

Butte's defeat dropped their record down to 3-10. As for Glacier, the win was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 10-2.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Butte is set to square off against their familiar foe Flathead at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Meanwhile, Glacier will take on rival Big Sky at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams are headed into the matchup with plenty of momentum (the Wolfpack have won four straight at home, while the Eagles won three straight on the road), something that'll have to change.
