Baseball Recap: Everglades Takes a Loss

After flying high against Northeast on Tuesday, Everglades came back down to earth. The Gators came up short against the Cooper City Cowboys on Thursday, falling 11-1. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Gators of the 7-1 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in February of 2025.

Everglades saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Bryan Peralta, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one run.

Everglades' loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Cooper City, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 3-0.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Everglades will challenge Mater Academy Charter at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Cooper City, they will square off against Piper at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
