Softball Recap: Shawnee Indians vs. Marion Local Flyers
Shawnee posted their closest victory since March 27th on Monday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 4-2 win over the Marion Local Flyers. This was payback for the Indians, who suffered a 6-5 defeat the last time these two teams met.
The team relied heavily on Anna Menke, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Lyla Rosas, who scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in two of her four plate appearances.
Shawnee is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 4-5 record this season.
