Basketball Recap: TJ Moats' Big Game Can't Quite Lead Southeast over Green River

After flying high against Kaycee back in December of 2024, Southeast came back down to earth. The Southeast Cyclones lost to the Green River Wolves on the road by a 56-41 margin on Thursday. The Cyclones' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Southeast's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was TJ Moats, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and ten rebounds. What's more, Moats also racked up four assists, the most he's had since back in February of 2024. Kannon Tippetts was another key player, putting up ten points and three steals.

Southeast's loss dropped their record down to 7-2. As for Green River, they now have a winning record of 4-3.

Southeast wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 57-47 victory against Non Varsity Opponent on the 10th. As for Green River, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 57-37 defeat against Central on the 10th.
