While Morris's  victory against Walton wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Bulldogs had just enough and edged out the Wildcats  6-5 on Wednesday. The Bulldogs haven't had any issues with the Wildcats recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive  win against them.
 The team  relied heavily on  Alvin Cruz, who  went a perfect 3-for-3 with three  stolen bases and one  run. Those  three  stolen bases gave  him a new career-high.  Josue Rojas also deserves some recognition as  he  scored his first  run of the season.
Morris' victory was  their third straight at home, which  pushed their record up to 6-6. The  home  wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 8.0 runs over those games. As for Walton,  this is the second loss in a row for them and  nudges their season record down to 1-5.
 Both  teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Morris will face off against Washington at 4:00  p.m.  on Friday. The Trojans' pitching crew has only allowed 3.6  runs per game  this season, so the Bulldogs' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Walton, they are taking a road trip to  square off against DeWitt Clinton  at 11:00  a.m.  on Saturday.
