Soccer Game Preview: Eldorado vs. Rio Rancho

The Eldorado Golden Eagles will face off against the Rio Rancho Rams at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Eldorado will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak.

Eldorado is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Tuesday. They never let La Cueva get on the board and left with a 1-0 victory. Eldorado's defense has been rock solid lately; the team hasn't given up a goal in their last five matches.

Their one-goal win came courtesy of Emma Gurule, who's now up to 32 this season.

Meanwhile, Rio Rancho faced Volcano Vista in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Tuesday. The Rams narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Hawks 2-1. The result kept Rio Rancho happy, as they haven't lost a game since October 15th.

Rio Rancho's victory bumped their record up to 16-4-2. As for Eldorado, their win bumped their record up to 18-2-1.

Everything went Eldorado's way against Rio Rancho in their previous meeting back in August of 2024, as Eldorado made off with a 3-0 victory. Do the Golden Eagles have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Rams turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
