Softball Recap: Raleigh Lions vs. Bogue Chitto Bobcats

It's playoff time, and Raleigh had no trouble coming through when it counted. Everything went their way against the Bogue Chitto Bobcats on Thursday as they made off with a 14-4 win.

Laney Powell made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching seven innings while giving up just one earned (and three unearned) runs off six hits. Powell was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with three runs and one stolen base. That's the most runs she has posted since back in April of 2024.
