McDonough extended their losing streak to three on Wednesday, dropping their season record down to 7-10 in the process. They lost 14-8 to the North Point Eagles. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 11-3 back in March.

As for North Point, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-8 record this season. The result was nothing new for North Point, who have now won nine contests by six runs or more so far this season.

For North Point's part, Sophia Weedin made a big impact no matter where she played.
