Carson dropped down to 9-11 on Tuesday, ending the team's three-game streak of wins. They came up short against the Damonte Ranch Mustangs, falling 26-1. The Senators were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Mustangs earlier this season, when they won 9-3.

Carson saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kellyn Moyle, who went 1-for-2 with one run.

As for Damonte Ranch, the win snapped their losing streak at seven games and leaves them with a 8-11 record. Their hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

On Damonte Ranch's side, they got a great performance from Angie Gomez as she pitched five innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits.

At the plate, Damonte Ranch let Samantha Tapia and Alyssa Dow run wild. Tapia went 4-for-5 with five RBI, three runs, and two doubles, while Dow went 3-for-4 with one home run, six RBI, and two runs. Those five RBI gave Tapia a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Samantha Peterson, who got on base in four of her five plate appearances with four runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Carson will face off against Spanish Springs at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Senators' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Cougars have averaged an impressive 10.4 runs per game this season. As for Damonte Ranch, they will square off against Reed at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Raiders will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each matchup than the last.
