Softball Recap: Muncy Gets the Win

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Sullivan County, Muncy was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the Sugar Valley Rural Phoenix with a sharp 18-3 win. Surprisingly, this marked the fifth straight game in which the away team has come away the victor in this series.

Rachel Paulhamus was incredible, going 3-for-4 with one home run, two stolen bases, and five RBI. Those two stolen bases gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Haliey Adams, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base.

Muncy's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Sugar Valley Rural, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-3.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Muncy will challenge rival Bucktail at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Sugar Valley Rural is set to face off against their familiar foe Montgomery at 4:30 p.m. on April 8.
