Basketball Recap: Obion County Rebels vs. Dyersburg Trojans
Obion County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They had to suffer through a 66-32 loss at the hands of the Dyersburg Trojans. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Rebels this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 70-41 back in January.
Dyersburg was led to victory by Chelby Jordan and Joya Crawford. Jordan almost dropped a double-double on 23 points and nine rebounds, while Crawford went 12 for 25 on her way to 27 points and eight steals. The dominant performance gave Crawford a new career-high in steals. Kalli Maclin was another key player, going 5 of 8 en route to 10 points in addition to five boards and four steals.
Obion County's defeat dropped their record down to 8-12. As for Dyersburg, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 18-4.
Coincidentally, both will both be playing Crockett County the next time they take the court. Dyersburg will host Crockett County at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while Obion County will head out to face them at 6:00 p.m. on February 7th.
