Basketball Recap: Houghton Comes Up Short

Houghton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They received a blow as they fell 66-51 to the Westwood Patriots. The Gremlins were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Patriots earlier this season, when they won 56-50.

Houghton's record is now 12-6. As for Westwood, their victory was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 8-9.

Coming up, Houghton will look to defend their home court on Monday against Hancock at 7:00 p.m. Hancock will roll in looking for their tenth straight win, something Houghton surely won't give up without a fight. As for Westwood, they will head out on the road to face off against West Iron County at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
