Volleyball Recap: Continental Comes Up Short

Continental lost against Holgate back in September of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Pirates took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Tigers.

Continental actually scored more points across those four sets (86-76), but sadly they still had to settle for second. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 1-25, 25-22, 25-21.

Macie Clemens paced Continental's offense, picking up 18 kills. Clemens got some help from Kenzie Searfoss and her 19 assists. Searfoss also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Gracie Homier, each putting up two.

Continental's defeat dropped their record down to 6-9. As for Holgate, their win bumped their record up to 3-9.

Continental has already played their next match, a 3-1 victory against Edgerton on the 25th. As for Holgate, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 3-1 loss against Stryker on the 23rd.
