Basketball Recap: East Jackson Comes Up Short

East Jackson lost against Prince Avenue Christian back in December of 2021 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The East Jackson Eagles took a 70-63 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Prince Avenue Christian Wolverines. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Tuesday (59), the Eagles still had to take the loss.

East Jackson has traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-10 record this season. Those losses can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.3 points per game. As for Prince Avenue Christian, their win was their first in the region, bumping their region record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 14-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. East Jackson will head out to face off against Franklin County at 8:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Prince Avenue Christian, they will head out on the road to square off against Hebron Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
