Softball Recap: Dixie Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

Dixie can bid farewell to their five-game losing streak thanks to their game on Thursday. They put the hurt on the Bradford Railroaders with a sharp 9-2 win. This was payback for the Greyhounds, who suffered a 5-0 loss the last time these two teams met.

Kaylie McConnell spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on six hits.

At the plate, Dixie let Jacie Hartimer and Kamryn Clouse run wild. Hartimer went 1-for-3 with two runs, one double, and one RBI, while Clouse went a perfect 3-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI. That's the most hits Clouse has posted since back in March. Ella Kreitzer was another key player, going 1-for-2 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

Dixie's victory bumped their record up to 6-11. As for Bradford, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-11.

Dixie does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Bradford, they will welcome St. Henry at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
