Softball Recap: Marshall Comes Up Short

Marshall was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 15th straight loss dating back to last season. They came up short against the Grand Rapids Thunderhawks, falling 11-1. The Hilltoppers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Thunderhawks apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in May of 2024.

Marshall's loss dropped their record down to 0-13. As for Grand Rapids, they moved to 6-8 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

Marshall has already played their next contest, a 16-0 defeat against Kelley on the 15th. Grand Rapids does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
