Baseball Game Preview: Tullahoma Wildcats vs. Lawrence County Wildcats

For the second straight game, Tullahoma will face off against Lawrence County. Tullahoma will be playing at home against Lawrence County at 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Tullahoma is coming into the match hot, having won their last 16 games.

Fans were treated to a battle of the Wildcats on Monday. Tullahoma came out on top against Lawrence County by a score of 6-1.

Baylan Tuten made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he struck out seven batters over six innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts in six consecutive appearances. He was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 2-for-3.

In other batting news, Andrew Fulmer was excellent, scoring a run while going 3-for-3. Mason Bratcher was another key player, scoring two runs while going 2-for-4.

Tullahoma's win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 16-6. Those road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.8 runs on average over those games. As for Lawrence County, their defeat was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 11-9.
