New Kent is 8-2 against York since May of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Trojans will be playing at home against the Falcons at 4:30 p.m. New Kent is coming into the game hot, having won their last ten games.

New Kent's pitching crew heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed last Thursday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-0 win over Poquoson.

Dylan Bowman looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over four innings pitched. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in strikeouts (five).

On the hitting side, New Kent's victory was truly a team effort as three different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Bryce Hochman, who went 1-for-3 with one RBI.

Meanwhile, with a playoff win on the line, York rose to the challenge on Wednesday. They put the hurt on the Greyhounds with a sharp 17-0 win. The Falcons' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

New Kent pushed their record up to 19-2 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 6.8 runs over those games. As for York, their victory ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 7-13.

New Kent came out on top in a nail-biter against York in their previous meeting back in April, sneaking past 7-6. Will the Trojans repeat their success, or do the Falcons have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
