Softball Game Preview: Ryan Raiders vs. Argyle Eagles

Ryan hasn't had much luck against Argyle recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Ryan Raiders will welcome the Argyle Eagles at 7:00 p.m. Neither of those teams managed to put together many runs in their previous contests, so the offenses might be a little more motivated than usual.

Last Monday, Ryan didn't have quite enough to beat Colleyville Heritage and fell 3-2.

Meanwhile, Argyle had to endure a four-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Denton on Tuesday, sneaking past 2-1.

Ryan's defeat dropped their record down to 11-4. As for Argyle, their victory was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 10-10.

Ryan couldn't quite get it done against Argyle in their previous matchup back in April of 2024 as they fell 3-0. Can Ryan avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
