Volleyball Recap: Crimson Cliffs Wins Going Away Against Timpview

After losing to Timpview the last time they met, Crimson Cliffs decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Mustangs blew past the Thunderbirds 3-0 on Saturday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Mustangs.

Crimson Cliffs not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Timpview between 15 and 18 points across their sets. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-15, 25-18, 25-15.

Lily Jones was the offensive standout of the match as she had eight digs and two aces.

Jones wasn't the only good server: Crimson Cliffs was lethal from the service line and finished the game with ten aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least six aces in 28 consecutive contests dating back to last season.

Crimson Cliffs' victory bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Timpview, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Crimson Cliffs and Timpview will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next games. The next time the Mustangs see the court they'll take on Pine View at 7:00 p.m. on the 19th. As for Timpview, their break will end when they face Wasatch at 6:30 p.m. on the 19th.
