Basketball Recap: Marlboro Starts Season with Defeat on the Road

Marlboro had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They fell just short of the Red Bank Regional Bucs by a score of 43-40 on Friday. If the Mustangs were looking for revenge after losing 64-43 to them when the teams met, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Red Bank Regional's win was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 2-0.

Marlboro will look to take advantage of their home court for the first time this season as they take on Middletown South at 5:15 p.m. on Monday. As for Red Bank Regional, they are taking a road trip to face off against Southern Regional at 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday.
