Basketball Recap: Hodgson Vo-Tech Comes Up Short in High-Profile Matchup with St. Georges Tech

On Monday, Hodgson Vo-Tech faced St. Georges Tech in a battle between two of the state's top teams. The Hodgson Vo-Tech Eagles fell to the St. Georges Tech Hawks 50-44. The Eagles were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Hawks apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in February of 2024.

Despite the loss, Hodgson Vo-Tech still got an impressive performance from Sanaa Saunders Young, who dropped a double-double with 21 points and ten boards. That's the most points Saunders Young has posted since back in February of 2024. Kaila Torres was another key player, putting up seven points along with five rebounds and four steals.
