Basketball Game Preview: Van Buren Pointers vs. Greenbrier Panthers

After both having extra time off, the Van Buren Pointers and the Greenbrier Panthers will shake off the rust and duke it out at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Greenbrier took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Van Buren, who comes in off a win.

Van Buren is coming home in high spirits after they had to open their season on the road against Shiloh Christian. The Pointers enjoyed a cozy 51-36 victory over the Saints last Monday. The Pointers haven't had any issues with the Saints recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive win against them.

Meanwhile, Greenbrier didn't have quite enough to beat Alma last Thursday and fell 48-45. The Panthers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Van Buren strolled past Greenbrier in their previous meeting back in January by a score of 51-37. Will the Pointers repeat their success, or do the Panthers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
