Evangel Christian had already won five in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 6.4 runs) and they went ahead and made it six on Monday. Everything went their way against the Wiregrass Kings as they made off with a 10-0 win. The result was nothing new for the Lightning, who have now won 17 games by six runs or more so far this season.

ASHER EVANS made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit over five innings pitched. EVANS was also big at the plate, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two RBI and one double.

In other batting news, TREY HOPE was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs, two doubles, and two RBI. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in April. KC GABLES was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two runs and two RBI.

Evangel Christian always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .536. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their OBP total in four consecutive matchups.

Evangel Christian pushed their record up to 30-3 with the victory, which was their 13th straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.0 runs over those games. As for Wiregrass, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-11.
