Softball Recap: Deridder Falls Short of Albany in the Playoffs

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact DeRidder can now relate to. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 10-0 to the Albany Hornets, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. The Dragons' defeat continues a trend for the team, making it four in a row.

DeRidder's loss dropped their record down to 14-20. As for Albany, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 13 matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 17-14 record this season.

DeRidder does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Albany, they will head out to square off against Brusly at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Panthers will roll in looking for their 26th straight victory, something the Hornets surely won't give up without a fight.
