Basketball Recap: Mediapolis Comes Up Short

After flying high against Mt. Pleasant last Saturday, Mediapolis came back down to earth. The Mediapolis Bulldogs took a 45-36 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Winfield-Mt. Union Wolves on Friday. The game marked the Bulldogs' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Mediapolis' defeat dropped their record down to 12-9. As for Winfield-Mt. Union, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 13-8 record this season.

Looking ahead, Mediapolis is taking a road trip to challenge Tipton at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Winfield-Mt. Union, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Pekin at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
