King's Academy has been away from home for three games now, but on Friday they'll finally make their return. They will host the Johnson County Sports Association Lions at 8:15 p.m. King's Academy knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 31 points or more in their past nine contests -- so hopefully Johnson County Sports Association likes a good challenge.

King's Academy is probably headed into the match with a chip on their shoulder considering Leverett's Chapel just ended the team's eight-game winning streak on Friday. They lost 74-53 to the Lions. King's Academy might have lost, but man, Sam Tarrant was a machine: he threw for 281 yards and five touchdowns, and also rushed for 129 yards and a touchdown on only 14 carries. Caiden Stafford was in the mix too, providing King's Academy with three touchdowns.

They took a blow against Westlake Academy, falling 62-24. The Lions were already down big by the end of the third quarter and they stayed that way after failing to score in the fourth.

Even though they lost, Johnson County Sports Association was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 234 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've posted since back in August.

Johnson County Sports Association's record now sits at 2-8. As for King's Academy, their defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 8-1.

Friday's matchup might be decided in the on the ground. King's Academy has been excellent on the ground this season, having averaged 174.7 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Johnson County Sports Association struggles in that department as they've been averaging 170.2.
