Recap: First Coast Christian Knights vs. Harvest Community Warriors
The First Coast Christian Knights suffered their biggest defeat since December 11, 2023 on Monday. They were outmatched by Harvest Community on the road and fell 75-48. First Coast Christian has struggled against Harvest Community recently, as their matchup on Monday was their eighth consecutive lost matchup.
Despite the loss, First Coast Christian saw an underclassman step up: Tavarion Stevens scored 12 points along with eight rebounds and two steals. Stevens hasn't dropped below two steals for four straight games. Another player making a difference was Andrew Yarbrough, who scored 14 points.
Harvest Community's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Adam Lawson, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 11 rebounds. Lawson has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times he's played. Sean Murphy was another key contributor, scoring 16 points along with five rebounds.
First Coast Christian dropped their record down to 6-11 with that defeat, which was their third straight on the road. As for Harvest Community, their victory bumped their record up to 9-12.
First Coast Christian will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Beaches Chapel at 7:00 p.m. As for Harvest Community, they will head out on the road to challenge Menendez at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Menendez is coming into the match on a three-game losing streak.
