Softball Preview: Brown County Hornets vs. Carrollton Hawks

Brown County has been on the road for three straight, but on Thursday they'll finally head home. They will take on the Carrollton Hawks at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.

Things were looking good for Brown County after they put the first points on the board on Wednesday, but unfortunately for them things went downhill from there. Their rough 11-1 defeat to Beardstown might stick with them for a while.

Brown County saw eight different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Lilly Ham, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases and an RBI.

Meanwhile, Carrollton can now show off 15 landslide victories after their most recent match on Monday. They never let Griggsville-Perry onto the board and left with a 30-0 victory. Carrollton's hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Lauren Flowers and Hannah Uhles made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, Flowers pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit.
