T Ferraiolo made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and got on base in three of her four plate appearances with one home run and three stolen bases. That home run was her first of the season. K Durkin was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs and two doubles.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Greens Farms Academy, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Wednesday. Delilah Johnson made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Johnson was even better at the plate, going 2-for-3 with three runs, three RBI, and one triple.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Izzy Kittredge, who got on base in all three of her plate appearances with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. Another player making a difference was Maddison Stevens, who got on base in all three of her plate appearances with three RBI and two runs.
Greens Farms Academy always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .774. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Greens Farms Academy's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-3. As for Cheshire Academy, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 3-2.
