Basketball Recap: Lee Academy Comes Up Short

On Friday, Lee Academy faced Bangor Christian in a battle between two of the state's top teams. The Lee Academy Pandas had to suffer through a 55-24 loss at the hands of the Bangor Christian Patriots. The Pandas were probably out for revenge after losing 46-34 to them when the teams met back in January, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Lee Academy's defeat was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Bangor Christian, their victory bumped their record up to 4-2.

Lee Academy will venture away from home to challenge Searsport at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Lee Academy is facing Searsport at the right time seeing as Searsport is stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for Bangor Christian, they will finish 2024 at home by hosting Jonesport-Beals at 1:30 p.m. on December 28th. Bangor Christian's defense has only allowed 25.5 points per game this season, so Jonesport-Beals' offense will have their work cut out for them.
