Basketball Recap: South Eugene Gets the Win

South Eugene won the last time they faced Thurston and things went their way on Tuesday too. The South Eugene Axe walked away with a 39-32 victory over the Thurston Colts.

The win got South Eugene back to even at 3-3. As for Thurston, their defeat dropped their record down to an identical 3-3.

South Eugene will take on Century in a holiday battle at at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Century knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past three games -- so hopefully South Eugene likes a good challenge. As for Thurston, they and Putnam will face off at 6:45 p.m. on Wednesday without much rest having both just played.
