Basketball Recap: Josh Morales' Big Game Can't Quite Lead Jersey Village over Cy-Fair

Jersey Village easily dispatched Northbrook last Wednesday, but unfortunately both the margin and the ultimate result were a different story in this one. The Jersey Village Falcons fell just short of the Cy-Fair Bobcats by a score of 57-54 on Saturday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Falcons have suffered since December 3, 2024.

Jersey Village's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Josh Morales, who went 5 for 12 en route to 20 points. Morales has been hot recently, having also posted two or more steals the last three times he's played. Bryce Jones was another key player, putting up ten points.

Jersey Village's loss dropped their record down to 10-16. As for Cy-Fair, the victory got them back to even at 13-13.

Jersey Village has already played their next contest (against Stratford), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Cy-Fair will venture away from home to take on Memorial at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
