Basketball Recap: Nick Pellicano and Hudson Trump Secure Win for Sayre

Sayre won against Susquehanna on Friday with 57 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Saturday. The Sayre Redskins took down the Blue Ridge Raiders 57-41. For the Redskins, this counts as revenge for the 94-48 victory the Raiders walked away with the last time they faced one another back in December of 2023.

Leading Sayre to victory were Hudson Trump and Nick Pellicano. Trump dropped a double-double on 15 points and 18 rebounds, while Pellicano almost dropped a double-double on 14 points and nine boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Karter Green, who posted nine points and seven rebounds.

The win made it two in a row for Sayre and bumps their season record up to 2-0. As for Blue Ridge, they now have a losing record at 1-2.

Sayre didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 46-42 defeat against Towanda on the 10th. As for Blue Ridge, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 53-32 victory against Wyoming Seminary College Prep on the 11th.
