While Caden Brown delivered a dominant performance on Wednesday, a win just wasn't in the cards for Newton. Brown turned in nothing short of a gem, striking out seven batters over five innings while giving up three earned (and one unearned) runs off three hits (and only one walk). He has been consistent : he hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances.
