Soccer Game Preview: Westminster vs. Rabun Gap-Nacoochee

The Westminster Wildcats will face off against the Rabun Gap-Nacoochee Eagles at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.

Westminster managed to keep up with Blessed Trinity until halftime on Thursday, but things quickly went downhill from there. The Wildcats came up short against the Titans, falling 3-0. Having soared to a lofty four goals in the game before, Westminster's shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Meanwhile, Rabun Gap-Nacoochee waltzed into their game on Tuesday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They never let the Wildcats get on the board and left with a 7-0 victory. Rabun Gap-Nacoochee might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six matches by three goals or more this season.

They hit Carolina Day with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Isabella Marin (3), Ava Grace Bonomo (2), Gabby Rivera, and Martina Gutierrez Oteo.

Rabun Gap-Nacoochee's win bumped their record up to 8-5. As for Westminster, their loss was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 3-7.
