Softball Preview: Caldwell Redskins vs. Frontier Cougars

Caldwell is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. Everything went their way against Shadyside on Thursday as they made off with a 17-4 win. The result was nothing new for the Redskins, who have now won seven matchups by eight runs or more so far this season.

Makayla Mumaw made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching three innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits. She has been consistent: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in eight consecutive appearances. In other batting news, Caldwell got a massive performance out of Mea Hendershot, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, two stolen bases, and three runs.
