Baseball Recap: Holy Cross Comes Up Short

Wednesday just wasn't the day for Holy Cross's offense. They came up short against the Covington Catholic Colonels on Wednesday, falling 6-0. The shutout was out of character for the Indians seeing as the last time the team failed to score was back in March.

Holy Cross moved to 12-17 with that defeat, which also ended their three-game winning streak. As for Covington Catholic, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-11 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Holy Cross will challenge Villa Madonna at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Covington Catholic, they will face off against Newport Central Catholic at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
