Basketball Recap: Gladwin Takes a Loss

Gladwin suffered their closest loss since February 26, 2024 on Friday. They fell just short of the Alma Panthers by a score of 70-67. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Flying G's came into the game with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 155th, while the Panthers are ranked 330th).

Gladwin's defeat dropped their record down to 18-4. As for Alma, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 10-12 record this season.

Gladwin will be taking part in a tournament against Ogemaw Heights at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Alma, they will take on Swan Valley in a tournament on Wednesday.
